LAPAROSCOPIC (bloodless, closed) SURGERY These are surgical operations performed with cameras and special tools by entering through small incisions. There is less pain after laparoscopic surgery, the patient returns to her/his normal life quickly. With laparoscopic surgery, gallbladder, reflux, hernia (hiatal hernia), inguinal hernia, umbilical hernia, post-operative (incisional) hernias and other hernias of the abdominal wall, appendicitis, gastric and intestinal disease surgeries can be performed.

DIGESTIVE SYSTEM SURGERY
Esophagus, stomach, small intestine, colon-rectum (bowel) cancer and other diseases, gall bladder, bile ducts, liver, pancreas, spleen disease diagnosis and drug/surgical treatments can be performed

REFLUX (GERD) Disease
Endoscopy, Tests such as 24 hourly pH monitoring, impedance measurement are performed, and treatment is done with drug or laparoscopic surgery.

Hernia SURGERY
Inguinal hernia, umbilical hernia, post-operative hernias and other hernias of the abdominal wall can be treated with open and laparoscopic surgery.

Surgical and non-surgical treatment of diseases such as anal fistula are performed. Non-surgical methods such as Infrared Coagulation, Band Ligation (choking), Sclerotherapy can be applied for hemorrhoid. . Moreover,  hemorrhoidectomy, hemorrhoidectomy with LigaSure, Hemorrhoidopexy (Longo) surgeries can be performed.

PILONIDAL SINUS DISEASE (Ingrown hair):
Along with the known surgical methods, it can also be treated with the non-surgical method called Phenol Therapy.

THYROID (Thyroid cancer, Goiter) Surgery

VARICOSE TREATMENT
Sclerotherapy (foam treatment) and surgery can be applied to varicose veins.

ENDOSCOPY UNIT
The
following procedures can be performed in the Endoscopy Unit of our Hospital’s General Surgery Department:

  • Gastroscopy (upper digestive system endoscopy)
  • Colonoscopy
  • Rectosigmoidoscopy
  • Rectoscopy
  • Polypectomy
  • Sclerotherapy in bleeding cases
  • PEG

These can be either performed under sedation (numbing) or under General Anesthesia. If necessary, a biopsy can be taken.
